Participation in particular activities is subject to relevance, availability and any specific arrangements. Membership does not guarantee employment, a placement or accredited CPD credits.

01 / Student membership

Student Member

For those currently enrolled in a recognised programme in psychology, counselling, psychotherapy, mental health, behavioural science or a relevant related discipline.

Applicants should be able to provide evidence of current study when requested and must agree to follow the Society’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.

02 / Professional membership

Professional Member

For those who have completed a recognised qualification in psychology or another relevant field accepted by the Society.

Relevant areas include counselling, psychotherapy, mental health, behavioural science and other related disciplines considered by the Society.

We may ask for your qualification details, institution, year of completion, relevant experience and supporting evidence after receiving your initial application.

What membership means

Membership of the London Society for Psychology & Mental Wellbeing is membership of a professional society. It does not itself constitute statutory registration, a licence to practise or permission to use a legally protected professional title.

Professional Member means Professional Member of LSPMW.

    Tell us about your current study or professional status and provide your contact details. No payment or document upload is required on the form.

  2. Complete the eligibility review

    The team considers your application and may ask for supporting evidence. Your category is confirmed against the Society’s requirements.

  3. Begin your membership

    Once accepted, the team explains the membership arrangements, induction and how to take part.
